Mission Green Earth

Global warming is no longer somebody else’s problem. It has
not just touched us, but has left deep scars in the forms of
natural calamities worldwide such as Tsunami, cyclones,
disturbing climatic changes, and polar ice and glacier melts.
A very easy and effective way to counter global warming is to
plant trees. It is something we can all do, and we hope that the
entire country will join us in making Mission Green Earth a
success.
Mission Green Earth is a scheme
is endorsed by the United
Nations Environment
Programme – 100 million tree
campaign.
It is being supported by The Art
of Living Foundation (AOL), and
the International Association for
Human Values (IAHV), both of
which are international non-profit
organisations with thousands of
dedicated volunteers in over 150
countries around the world.
The initiative calls on individuals,
corporates, schools, NGOs,
conservation trusts, local
institutions and governments to
plant indigenous trees, shrubs
and medicinal plants in support
of the United Nation’s Seventh
Millennium Development Goal
(MDG’s)–Environmental
Sustainability.
